Mooring your Westerly in the Netherlands

If you have a Westerly and you want to berth your boat for a few weeks in the Netherlands this offer of Sailing Club Numansdorp may be of intrest for you.

Numansdorp is a small village about 15 miles South of  Rotterdam (which has an airfield) and about 30 miles East of Hoek van Holland (with a ferry to Harwich) and lies directly at the Hollands Diep. It has a regular bus lines to and from Rotterdam. From the Stellendam lock at the North Sea it’s a sail of about 15 miles. (See chart down below this page)

This club is run by the members on a non-commercial base and has about 150 berths. The marina has a depth of 2 meters and is tidal free. In 2011 the marina has been complete renovated.

If you leave your Westerly in this club for longer then 14 days you  pay 73 euro cents per meter (this is a 50% discount, 2019 price). For example: A Fulmar of 10 mtrs pays 47 euro’s for one week.  Thats less then 40 pounds!
